"Stronger Seniors" Program

The Stronger Senior Fitness Program is a free program and runs from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM every Wednesday and 10:00 AM - 11:00 every Friday, in the Bloom Township Multipurpose Room, 425 S. Halsted Street, Chicago Heights.

Speakers Bureau

Senior Department staff is available to attend your senior center or group meeting to give presentations on Senior Department programs, Medicare benefits, state and federal benefit programs and other pertinent topics for seniors and their caregivers. Contact the Senior Department for availability.

Chair Yoga

This is a gentle form of yoga performed either sitting in or standing by a chair.  This form of yoga is recommended for beginners, those with disabilities and injuries, those with limited mobility or weight constraints, or those who want to learn how to refresh their bodies while sitting at a desk.  This program is taught by Dr. Nadine Kelly, Yogi MD

Line Dancing

This 4 week - hour long class makes exercising fun and you'll learn to do the latest in line dances like:  Boot Scootin' Boogie, The Electric Slide, The Freeze, Personality, and Blurred Lines.

Classes $20 for a 3 month session
