Bloom Township Emergency Assistance is administered through the General Assistance Program. Emergency Assistance (EA) assists Bloom Township residents to help alleviate an "Emergency" or life-threatening circumstance.
Emergency Assistance can only be issued once in a twelve (12) month period where the definition of emergency is met.
Must be Bloom Township resident 18 or over who is not eligible for General Assistance.
Must complete an application and provide proper identification, income, and residency status for applicant and household.
Must exhibit and document financial hardship and show ongoing ability to cover expenses after assistance is granted.
Residents who receiving subsidized housing benefits may be ineligible for certain benefits.
Emergency Assistance does not cover security deposits or first-month rent except in individual or family displacement due to disaster.
