Annual Picnic

Annual Senior Citizens Picnic

Bloom Township Supervisor, T J Somer and the Board of Trustees host the Annual Senior Picnic each year in August at Veterans Memorial Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., located at:
19101 S Halsted Street
Glenwood, Illinois 60425

Tickets are available for purchase in July and cost $5 per ticket. No tickets are sold the day of the picnic.

Food

Tickets include a complete chicken box lunch along with beer, pop and dessert. A free gift is given to everyone in attendance compliments of the Bloom Township Supervisor and Board of Trustees.

Senior Services Information

During the morning hours, senior service providers, community organizations, governmental agencies and more are on hand from the southland area providing valuable information on programs and services

Entertainment

Entertainment and dancing is provided for your enjoyment throughout the day.

Transportation

Transportation service is available by calling the Bloom Township Senior Wheels program directly at 708-754-8200 and is free for all rides to the picnic that day.
